Storage & handling

Lyophilised (freeze-dried) powder is the stable form. Kept cold, dark and dry it is generally considered stable for extended periods; at room temperature stability falls considerably.

Once liquid, the clock starts. Reconstituted peptides are refrigerated, kept out of light, and have a far shorter usable window than the powder. Bacteriostatic water contains a preservative; sterile water does not, and behaves differently.

Repeated freezing and thawing degrades peptides. So does heat and prolonged light exposure. Amber vials and cold packs exist for a reason.
